West Hartford Connecticut basement transformation

This project took places steps away from West Hartford Center.  Our amazing clients hired us to bring their vision of a dream basement to life.  Their vision was to create a gothic, rustic space that their family can enjoy in their existing basement that was finished approx 10 years prior by a different contractor for years to come.  We didn’t pull any punches and neither did they.  Every aspect of this project is custom.  From the plank porcelain tiles installed in a herringbone pattern to the real stone accent wall.  We brought ceiling trim and stained it to match the custom kitchen cabinets with a custom kitchen wood counter top.  A gas line was brought in to support the new Sub Zero cooktop and we installed a Sub-Zero bar fridge complete with a custom panel to match the cabinet.  Beautiful copper sink that incorporates a beautiful European style faucet. A blacksmith fabricated all the cabinet hardware and cross bars for the ceiling trim.  We had metal hanging rods produced to further bring the gothic theme into the equation.   Reclaimed wood provided the accent to a couple of walls as well.  A unique header facade was built to mark the entrance into the kitchen area that also has a custom fabricated iron piece incorporated.  We built and stained the light boxes that hold antique sconces and lights restored for this project as well.  We even installed a hidden door to a bedroom.  The door looks like a bookshelf.  All custom.  We always appreciate jobs that allow us to really showcase our capabilities and we absolutely love this project”
